Multifunctional3DFlexible’s concept for a Direct Digital Manufacturing (DDM) system is based on a true 5-axis CNC mill, which exhibits ease and flexibility in design, toolpath generation, and CAM control provided by the combination of PTC Creo CAD/CAM, G-postprocessor, and the AM-modified HAAS mill; further control is provided by the front interactive NextGen control panel. This system concept has the capability to perform fused deposition modeling (FDM), inkjet/aerosol printing, laser ablation, and pneumatic pressure-based printing heads in a single system.

True 5-axisTrue electronic 3D digital manufacturing needs to print electronics normal to the curved surface to achieve breakthroughs for even smaller circuits and complex antenna designs. This also enables advancements in layered (additive) 3DPE. Non-perpendicular additive techniques deposit excess material, creating inherent issues with electric performance.
